As you might know, Medicare has issued the new Merit Based Incentive Program (MIPS). This is a fundamental change in physician reimbursement, and will permanently alter your fee schedule and the overall well-being of your practice from now on.
Medicare will post your score on CMS.gov, for everyone to see your cost and quality. All insurance companies will follow suit.
We will all have to embark on the journey of fee-for-value, which will eventually replace fee-for-service. Even though this is a complex process, the challenge is not insurmountable.
